Niki Ulehla is a versatile artist whose work experiments with our conceptual understandings of function and form. Drawing on the idea of the found object, and the Czech tradition of marionette creation, Niki uses her technical ingenuity, sustainable wood, and vintage clothing to create these whimsical pieces. "Through these divergent techniques where play and exploration are among the most fundamental concerns, I work to create unique pieces that are simple and refined, albeit a little bit crazy." Niki Ulehla lives and works in San Francisco, California.
