Rings by Gallery Artists
Leading up to Valentines Day, Gallery Lulo will be featuring rings by a selected group of artists from the Bay Area. Julia Turner, Hitomi Jacobs, Karen Gilbert, April Higashi, Elisa Bongfeldt and Niki Ulehla will all display their unique ring designs throughout the month of February.

APRIL 2010
featuring jane d'Arensbourg
the show will focus on the beautifully crafted coronal glass series installation by new york artist jane d'arensbourg. The artist will be present at the gallery to talk about her work.
jane d'arensbourg's unique take on sculptural and functional forms are expressed through her flame-worked borosilicate glass installations, jewelry, and lighting. the fragile and delicate nature of the glass is often counterbalanced by incorporating materials such as metal and porcelain in order to enhance the sensual experience of touch and sound in her work. jane's art and jewelry is featured in galleries and museums nationwide and abroad, including moma's design store and the contemporary museum of art and design in new york.

elisa bongfeldt diamond show
elisa bongfeldt has specifically designed and created a collection of work incorporating the classic gemstone into her distinct and contemporary aesthetic.
elisa bongfeldt's jewelry is inspired by the clean aesthetic of industrial design and architecture. elisa's work strives to fuse modernity and elegance by refining a simpicity of form using materials such as sterling silver, 22 karat gold bimetal and freshwater pearls.
elisa bongfeldt lives and works in berkeley, california.

Featuring Hitomi Jacobs
the gallery is proud to host an evening introducing new work by hitomi jacobs in her first collection of art jewelry.
for the past 20 years, hitomi jacobs has worked as a clothing designer in japan and only recently pursued a career in art jewelry. working from her studio in marin county, hitomi has extended her experience in design and fashion to jewelry work, by creating wearable pieces that flatter and adorn the body. her work primarily incorporates pearl, silver and coral and conveys her 'reflections of the life and nature around her'.
